Our story

We didn't set out to do all of this.

RPR Consulting started as an ERP shop. What we do now — websites, ads, automation, AI agents — arrived because our clients' problems kept moving, and we kept following them.

CHAPTER 01

Before 2019

Fifteen years inside other people's businesses.

Before RPR existed there were fifteen years of operating work — finance, marketing, operations, human resources — across service, distribution and production companies, in both B2B and B2C.

That's an unglamorous background, and it turned out to be the useful one. Sitting inside a business while it tries to grow teaches you something a consultant visiting for six weeks rarely sees: the thing that's broken is almost never the thing everyone is talking about.

Disconnected parts

CHAPTER 02

2019

RPR starts in the back office.

The company began doing ERP implementation — putting sales, inventory, jobs and finance into one system so a business could finally see itself accurately. We became a certified Odoo partner and built that practice up.

25+

businesses moved onto one system since 2019

It's good work and we still do it. But implementations are slow, bespoke and hard to repeat — every one is its own project. That mattered later.

One system

CHAPTER 03

The pattern

The constraint kept moving.

We'd finish a system, and within months the same conversation would start again — except the problem had shifted. The operation now ran cleanly, and the bottleneck had moved somewhere we weren't looking.

Sometimes it moved backwards: not enough enquiries arriving to justify the machine we'd just built. Sometimes it moved sideways: plenty of enquiries, but two days to answer them, because responding was nobody's actual job.

We kept fixing the middle of businesses and watching them get stuck at the front.

So we followed it. Automation for the repeated steps. AI agents for the responding. Then websites, search and ads for the part further upstream than we'd ever worked before.

Upstream, every time

CHAPTER 04

Today

We lead with growth now, and mean it.

Working backwards through that chain changed the order we recommend things in. A twelve-week system implementation is a serious commitment for a company that hasn't yet solved where its next twenty customers come from — and we've watched businesses make that investment too early.

So we start at the front: get found, capture what arrives. Once customers are coming in reliably, the operational work has something worth doing it to, and the case for it makes itself rather than needing to be sold.

The ERP experience didn't go anywhere. It's why we can build the front end knowing exactly what happens downstream when it works.

A loop, not a funnel

CHAPTER 05

Where we're going

Building things that repeat.

The lesson from six years of bespoke projects is that custom work doesn't compound. Every implementation started from zero, and the knowledge stayed in our heads instead of in something reusable.

What we're building now is deliberately different — managed services, standard packages and systems we can deploy again rather than reinvent. It's better for us, and it's cheaper and faster for the businesses we work with.

Why nearshore

One flight, four time zones, no overnight handover.

We work with businesses from Los Angeles to Miami. Guatemala City sits in the middle of the continental United States — close enough that every US time zone still shares most of a working day with us.

COAST TO COAST

All four US time zones

Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern — every one overlaps with our day by seven hours or more.

SAME LANGUAGE

English and Spanish

We write your copy, answer your customers and run your ads without a translation layer.

LOWER COST

Not a US office lease

Our overhead is a fraction of a US firm's, and that difference stays in your budget.

Guatemala does not observe daylight saving time. From November to March we match US Central exactly; the rest of the year we align with US Mountain and run one hour behind Chicago.

The short version

A small nearshore team, working US hours, since 2019.

We're based in Guatemala City and work with businesses across the US and Latin America. Small enough that you deal with the people building your systems, established enough that there's a track record to check.

What the story taught us

Four positions we hold, whether or not they win us the job.

We implement, we don't advise.

There is no deliverable that's only a document. If we recommend something, we build it, launch it and stay to fix what breaks.

Your data belongs to you.

Accounts, databases and customer records are in your name and exportable. Lock-in is a business model we've chosen not to have.

Start where the constraint is.

Not where the biggest invoice is. If your problem is upstream of what we'd like to sell you, we'll say so.

We'll tell you when it isn't us.

Some problems need a bigger firm, a local presence, or no consultant at all. Better said on the first call than discovered in month three.
